How to Choose an Exotic Car Rental Company in Los Angeles

Eight questions to ask before you book.

Updated October 2026

There are dozens of places to rent an exotic car in Los Angeles, from rental lots to private owners on apps. The car in the ad may look the same, but what happens on the day comes down to a few things that are easy to check before you book. These are the eight questions worth asking any company, with our answers.

1. Will I get the exact car in the photos?

Some listings show one car and deliver “a similar” one. Ask whether the photos are of the actual car you’re booking. With us they are: every car is shown in its own photos, and that’s the car that arrives.

2. What is the full price, all in?

The daily rate is only part of it. Delivery, tax and the deposit all change what you pay. Ask for one itemized total before you pay anything. Ours lists the rate, delivery and deposit, and nothing is added afterward.

3. How much is the deposit, and when do I get it back?

Every exotic rental carries a security deposit. Ask for the amount and when it’s released. Ours is $1,500 to $3,000 depending on the car, released within 24 hours once the car comes back on time, clean and undamaged.

4. What insurance do I need?

Most companies need full-coverage insurance (comprehensive and collision) in the driver’s name. Check before the day, since some personal policies limit high-value cars. Liability-only policies don’t qualify with us.

5. How many miles are included?

Ask for the daily mileage allowance and what extra miles cost before you plan a long drive. Ours include 100 miles per day, and more can be added before your trip.

6. Can they deliver where you are?

If you’re landing at an airport or staying at a hotel, ask whether they deliver there and what it costs. We deliver anywhere in Los Angeles and Orange County, including LAX, Burbank, Van Nuys and John Wayne airports, quoted by location. Pick-up in Downtown Glendale is free.

7. Can you rent at your age?

Many counters won’t rent an exotic to anyone under 25. We rent to drivers 18 and older with a valid license and full-coverage insurance; under 25 may mean a larger deposit, and you’ll know it before you book.

8. What do real renters say?

Look for recent reviews from completed rentals that mention the car’s condition, the hand-off and how fast the company replied. We have over 500 five-star ratings from real rentals.
